The Latest: Lightovation Dallas Market Center Annual Lighting Show
Loved being inspired by new introductions at Lightovation in Dallas in January. Especially drawn to the trend of mixing weathered wood with metals for a rustic contemporary look.
Many open frames in metal are reminiscent of antique frames once presented as fabric shades, now only the metal survives.
Also drawn to the glass orbs suspended by metal ribs that recall Erector Sets and molecules. The metal ribs appeared in black and brass, a wonderful updated combo with the frosted white glass.
Adorable is the only way to describe these Whimsies. Casting decorative shadows on the wall and creating a smile on the face of all who behold them, these sconces and lamp are a find.
Structured and contemporary, yet very traditional in the use of materials, these two island chandeliers caught my eye.
